Apple extending MobileMe subscriptions 60 days due to problems PDF Print E-mail

When I got my iPhone3G I decided it was time to try Apple’s MobileMe. The concept is great. I’d love to have my contacts. calendars and other items all in sync from my desktop to my MacBook to my iPhone.

The problem is that MobileMe is slower than a web site about molasses with a dialup connection. When I load MobileMe it takes about 20 seconds for it to “relinquish” control of my browser. My browser is frozen completely. Many times I get error messages about scripts taking too long or the browser just crashing (see image).

apple mobileme problem

Apple has now extended anyone who was a subscriber (free or paid) August 19 at 0:00 Pacific Daylight Time by 60 days to make up for the problems. I hope that it takes them less than 60 days to get it running well or I’ll likely let my free subscription run out.

Perhaps Apple will add the iCal TODO sync with iPhone's calendar as well.  Leaving out this feature is mindbogglingly idiotic.

This site is best viewed with Safari or Firefox.  Quite franky, we don't care if it works in IE.
