Golf Flyover is an application for the Apple iPhone which turns the phone into a golf GPS.  You can track your yardages on nearly 13000 courses on your iPhone.  In addition, you can view flyovers of the holes on the course.  This is so freakin’ cool.  If you’re playing a course you’ve never seen before you can do a flyover and see the terrain and hazards etc.  Finally, there’s a break reader which uses the accelerometer of the iPhone.  You simply put the phone on the putting green and it will show you the break.

I’ll be doing a full review of Golf Flyover soon.

I’ve wanted to capture images from my iPhone screen.  I found out how to do it:

Hold down the bottom front button and the top button at the same time and the image will be captured and put into the iphoto gallery.

Speaking of news feeds, it seems that most of Apple’s RSS news feeds are Aperture ads.  Maybe I should get rid of those too.  Maybe I should just get rid of the news feeds all together.

I don’t know about you, but all the photo pros I know use Photoshop and so do I.

Looks like MacWorld is now putting 468×60 banner advertisements in their news feeds.  This is messing up the template here and I don’t like the fact that there are ads in the RSS feeds anyway.

So I’ll likely be getting rid of the MacWorld feeds here at The Mac Space…
